# Einführung in spkg

# Warum habt ihr spkg gemacht und was ist das?

Wir wollten eine alternative zu System-spezifischen Paketmanagern erstellen. Spkg ist dafür designt Cross-Plattform zu sein,
was so viel heißt wie das es auf fast jeder Linux Distro funktioniert. Es hat Container, On-Machine Paketkompilierung, Paketgruppen und vieles mehr.

Es ist ähnlich zu Gentoo's Paketmanager [Portage](https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Portage). Außerdem bietet spkg ein Container Feature an,
ähnlich zu Flatpak's Ansatz.
